How Texas Failed Its Own Constitution
The Texas Constitution is clear.
Crystal clear.
Article 7 gives the Legislature one sacred duty:
To “establish and make suitable provision for the support and maintenance of an efficient system of public free schools.”
But somewhere along the way, Austin broke that promise.
And when the Legislature failed Article 7, three things happened:
THE THREE FAILURES
1. They failed to fully fund our schools.
Instead of honoring their constitutional duty, the Legislature pushed the cost downward — shifting the burden onto counties and homeowners.
2. They forced counties to raise property taxes to survive.
Counties were never meant to be the primary funders of public education.
But when the Legislature underfunds Article 7, counties have no choice but to use Article 8 to fill the gap — a gap that should never exist.
3. They created a tax system built on a constitutional failure.
This is the heart of the crisis:
If Article 7 is violated, every amendment that depends on it becomes unconstitutional in practice.
That is why our property tax system is broken — not because our counties failed, but because Austin did.
This Is Why I Am Fighting
I’m not running to argue.
I’m running because Texans deserve clarity, honesty, and a system that works for families — not against them.
I want a Texas where:
• We honor our Constitution
• Teachers are respected
• Families can afford to stay in their homes
• And your property taxes don’t rise because the Legislature didn’t do its job
Why I Write These Blogs
Over the last few weeks, Facebook has restricted several of my posts.
Not because they were false — but because they challenge the status quo.
They didn’t like me explaining the tax code, the Constitution, and the failures I’ve uncovered.
So instead of fighting Facebook, I’m building my own platform.
When you want the truth, you won’t need social media.
Just visit my website and read my blogs — everything is there.
We deserve a Texas that works for the people — not against them.
I’m Freddie America, and I’m fighting so every Texan can afford to live the life they’ve earned.
