“Schools depend on property taxes. If we remove them, schools will collapse.”

❗ REALITY:

The Texas Constitution already provides a legal school funding system — and it is NOT based on property taxes.

Article 7 requires:

• A lawful public school fund

• Transparent budgeting

• Voter-approved funding when schools need more

• Honest reporting to the people

Property taxes were NEVER meant to be the backbone of school funding.

Politicians changed the system without permission from the people — and now homeowners are suffering for it.

“There’s no money for schools without property taxes.”

❗ REALITY:

The money is already there.

What’s broken is the Appraisal Review Board system (ARB) — a system that:

• Over-appraises homes

• Violates the Constitution

• Crushes seniors and working families

• Steals revenue from the people

• Creates artificial “school funding gaps”

When we eliminate the ARB and return to the constitutional funding model:

✔ Schools gain back 

$600 million to $1 billion per year

✔ Every school gets 

$66,000 more annually
