Texas Doesn’t Need Another Cookie-Cutter Candidate — We Need the Truth About Property Taxes

By Freddie America

Candidate for Texas House District 89

Texas Doesn’t Need Another Cookie-Cutter Candidate — We Need Honesty.

Every election, politicians recycle the same phrases:

“Cap property taxes.”

“Lower your tax burden.”

“Hold the line on spending.”

It sounds good.

It polls well.

It fits neatly into a campaign ad.

But here’s the truth no one else is telling you:

You don’t “cap” something that’s already unconstitutional.

Property taxes themselves are constitutional.

But everything being done with them — the way they are raised, the way appraisals are manipulated, the way boards operate without your vote — is completely unconstitutional.

And capping an unconstitutional process doesn’t fix it.

It only hides the problem.

What No Other Candidate Will Tell You

If anyone out there says:

“We’re going to cap property taxes.”

That’s a false statement.

You can’t put a “cap” on a system that violates:

  •        Article 8, Section 1 — taxation must be equal, fair, and uniform

  •        Article 8, Section 24 — no tax shall be imposed without voter approval

  •        Due Process protections — government cannot take your home without lawful process and consent

Right now, homeowners are being taxed without consent.

That is the problem.

Not the rate.

Not the cap.

Not the appraisal method.

The entire process must be restored to what the Texas Constitution already requires.

There Should Be No Need for a Tax Cap — Not When the Law Is Being Followed

When a system is constitutional:

  •        You vote on taxation

  •        Appraisal boards can’t raise values unchecked

  •        Seniors and veterans aren’t threatened with losing their homes

  •        Local government must justify spending to the people

  •        “Tax caps” become unnecessary

  •        The power stays with you, not them

Texans don’t need another promise of a cap.

Texans need the Constitution restored.

That’s what the insiders won’t say because it means giving power back to the voters — not back to Austin.

Why I’m Running for House District 89

I’m not here to do what Austin tells me to do.

I’m not here because someone in a political club hand-picked me.

I’m not here to be part of a cookie-cutter campaign made in a back room.

I’m here because I’ve watched seniors, veterans, families, and homeowners suffer under a system that violates the very Constitution I swore to uphold.

I’m here because I’m the son of a veteran.

I’m a small business owner of 15+ years.

And I am self-funding this campaign, so I answer only to the people — not lobbyists or party insiders.

I’m running to:

  •        Restore constitutional taxation

  •        End the illegal appraisal practices

  •        Protect families from losing their homes

  •        Return power to the voters where it belongs

No “cap” will fix this.

The Constitution will.

If You’re Tired of False Promises, I’m Asking for Your Vote

House District 89 deserves a representative who will speak the truth — even when it’s not politically convenient.

Texans deserve someone who understands the law, not someone reading a script.

If you want real change…

If you want the constitutional truth…

If you want someone who will fight for you and not for the insiders…

**Then I’m asking for your support.

Freddie America for Texas House District 89.

Power Back to Texas.

Power Back to the People.
