Texas Was Built by Young Leaders — And the Next Generation Must Rise Again

By Freddie America

If you have read any of my books — Born in Blood, Heritage in the Heart of Texas, The Soul of Texas — you will notice a truth woven through every chapter:

**Texas was built by the young.

America was founded by the young.

Revolutions are powered by the young.

This nation and this state were not shaped by weary politicians in their late seventies clinging to power.

They were built by men and women in their:

  •        20s

  •        30s

  •        early 40s

People who had visions, not pensions.

People who had families to build, not legacies to protect.

People who had courage, strength, and fire, not fear of losing office.

1. America’s Revolution Was a Youth Movement

People forget — or were never taught — the truth:

  •        George Washington was 44 during the Revolution

  •        Thomas Jefferson wrote the Declaration at 33

  •        James Madison helped shape the Constitution at 36

  •        Alexander Hamilton was 21 when he led troops into battle

  •        Nathan Hale was 21 when he gave his life

The American Revolution was NOT led by the old.

It was led by the young, fighting for the world they wanted to live in.

2. Texas History Is Even More Dramatic

In Heritage in the Heart of Texas, I wrote about the early pioneers:

  •        James Fannin was 32

  •        William Barrett Travis was 26

  •        Sam Houston took command of the Texas Army at 43, but most of the men under him were in their 20s

  •        The defenders of the Alamo were overwhelmingly in their 20s and 30s

  •        The settlers who built our ranches and towns were young families

William B. Travis — the man who drew the line in the sand — was a young leader with a young family, fighting for a future he would never see but believed in anyway.

He didn’t fight for power.

He fought for principle.

3. Today’s Political Class Is the Opposite

Today, the halls of government are filled with:

  •        People in their 60s, 70s, even 80s

  •        Leaders who no longer see the future

  •        Politicians fighting for pensions, not for people

  •        Administrators afraid of innovation

  •        Bureaucrats who don’t understand modern technology

  •        People who treat taxpayers like a funding source, not human beings

They are not bad people — they are simply out of time, out of ideas, and out of touch.

And many stay in office because:

3–5 years = lifetime pension

Guaranteed retirement

No risk

High salary

No connection to the real struggles of Texans

That is not leadership.

That is careerism.

4. Young Texans See the Future More Clearly Than Any Politician

Young leaders understand:

  •        AI

  •        Blockchain

  •        XRP

  •        Ethereum

  •        XLM

  •        Fusion

  •        SMRs

  •        Cryptocurrency

  •        Digital finance

  •        Clean energy

  •        Global innovation

  •        New economic models

  •        Dividends for citizens

  •        Jobs of the future

  •        The need for transparency

  •        The desire for a government that SERVES

Young leaders don’t fear change — they create it.

They don’t look for retirement — they look for opportunity.

They don’t hoard power — they build futures.

5. A Future Where Texans Receive Dividends

In states like Alaska, oil revenue goes back to the people.

Texas could do the same — but even bigger.

With:

  •        SMRs

  •        Clean nuclear technology

  •        Digital finance

  •        Blockchain

  •        AI-driven energy markets

  •        Smart grids

  •        Public-private innovation

Texas could become the first state in America where:

**Citizens receive quarterly dividends

from clean energy production.**

Not welfare.

Not handouts.

Not charity.

Dividends.

Ownership.

Equity.

The future.

But older politicians don’t see it — they think money is something to hoard, not something to grow.

6. We Need a New Generation of Texas Leaders

I am calling on:

  •        Young veterans

  •        Young parents

  •        Young professionals

  •        Young workers

  •        Young dreamers

  •        Young innovators

  •        Young Texans with hearts of fire

to run for office.

Whether you are:

  •        25

  •        30

  •        35

  •        40

  •        45

If you believe in Texas…

If you believe in the Constitution…

If you believe in fairness…

If you believe in innovation…

If you believe in opportunity…

**Your voice is needed.

Your leadership is needed.

Your courage is needed.**

Texas must be protected —

and the young must rise again.

FINAL WORD

Texas was built by pioneers in their 30s who saw a future worth fighting for.

Texas was defended by young families who wanted a better life.

Texas was lifted by workers with dirt on their hands and dreams in their hearts.

Today, the future of Texas rests on our generation

the generation that sees a world powered by SMRs, driven by AI, supported by clean energy, and built on fairness and opportunity.

If you read my books, you will understand this truth:

**Everything great about Texas was built by the brave —

and it will be rebuilt the same way.**

I encourage every young Texan:

Run.

Lead.

Serve.

Build.

Protect Texas.

Because the future will belong to those with the courage to shape it.
